Juan Sádaba is an architect, urban planner and designer. He is currently Adjunct Professor at the Department of Architecture of the University of the Basque Country. Previously, he has been Professor at the Singapore University of Technology and Design as well as invited lecturer and speaker internationally.

His professional work covers different scales of design, from Territorial Planning and Building to Product Design. He is CEO and founder of Nerei emotional intelligent, a company focusing on the new possibilities of design and ICT in the contemporary urban environment.

He usually combines practice with university teaching and mentoring. Among his recognitions and awards: Special Mention in Urban Design by the Basque Board of Architects Awards 2003, Urban Space selection in the International Design Awards B-awards 2010, and Finalist at the Smart City Expo World Congress 2012 and at the Media Architecture Biennale 2014. He holds several patents in the field of urban furniture design and product design.
